Andrew & Ruth Murray

Andrew and Ruth are working with tribes around Papua New Guinea which have not yet got the gospels in their native tongue. They spend a lot of their time working on communication, making sure that they are understood in the new communities, and building up relationships with the locals. Ruth also does some teaching.
They have been working for many years with the Nimo people, a community which is geographically very difficult to reach. The Nimo people now have translations of the gospels in their own language.
Ruth and Andrew were recently greatly encouraged when they went back to visit the Nimo tribe and saw the local people preaching and learning about God’s Word. They describe them as being a faithful testimony of God’s saving grace.
Andrew and Ruth are currently working with the Tobo people in another area of PNG, checking translations and comprehension of the gospels. Further information about New Tribes Mission is available at http://uk.ntm.org
